Getting used to sneakers

Day by day I get a little more casual and comfortable with my style. I didn't even own sneakers a couple of years ago. My shoe collection mostly contained high heels in every color of the rainbow. I walked miles and miles on my heels and of course my feet hurt afterwards but I didn't care. The reason why I never wore sneakers was because of my height but also because it didn't made me feel feminine. It still doesn't, but I've come to embrace my height and the comfort is just so unreal compared to stiletto heels. It just can't be missed now. And my style has changed drastically in these couple of years. I'm still very feminine, but once in a while the tree climbing tomboy needs to pop up along with the sneakers.

Thea Element in Lisbon

DRESS THEA ELEMENT - HEELS ZARA

I just came back from a fun weekend getaway with my brother/photographer Tyler. These photos are taken on our balcony in Lisbon. The view is amazing don't you think? It was really nice weather so I wore my cute dress from Thea Element. It has an inner shorts attached so you don't have to worry about anything :P. What an invention! On warm summer days I like to wear my hair up and this hairdo compliments the dress really well I must say. Anyway, I will tell you guys more about Lisbon soon. Have a great day everyone!

A very simple and casual outfit for today. I tied a knot in the tank top to make it a bit more special. We all have our easy and comfortable days but that doesn't mean we can't still look nice. This is how I look going grocery shopping on a sunny day. And I don't do that very often :P.

BLAZER / SKORT ZARA - TOP H&M - CLUTCH ACCESSORIZE - HEELS MANGO

I think a blazer is a must-have in every closet. It's so easy to style and looks good on any body shape. I have them in many different colors and styles but this one is my favorite. The fit and length is just perfect. That's one of the reasons why I shop at the Zara a lot. They have many beautiful clothing for petite girls like me. I have to admit that they get more and more expensive but the quality of the clothing is really good and I just love the fact that there's a home pick-up return service. What an invention!

Stylight x Girissima contest

I am entering the Stylight x Girissima.com contest and I thought I should be creative and unique if I want to stand out from all those beautiful contestants. That's why I turned my look into a little storyboard. It shows how I spent my time in Lisbon if I win the amazing Lisbon weekend getaway. It took me so much time and work but it's totally worth it and I'm very happy with how it came out ^^. Wish me luck!

I've been invited to take part of the Stylight x Fabi contest. The challenge is to create some fashionable looks and if preferred relate it to Italy or Rome. The winner get's a trip to Rome and an exclusive invitation to Fabi's boutique opening. So awesome! Italy breathes fashion and is blessed with many talented designers such as Prada, Fendi and Versace. So I knew I had to pull off a chic and feminine look. I figured I can't go wrong with black and white and my Prada sunglasses is the ultimate chic accessory. What do you think? Could this be the winning look? Wish me luck ^^.

JACKET MANGO - SWEATER / PANTS ZARA - SUNGLASSES H&M

Cupid please shoot an arrow in my heart because I feel like I can't do it on my own. I don't know it's the city or me but I really don't see any cute guys. Spring is making me longing for love but let's keep it real I turned into a very critical young woman. I wasn't like that at all in the past but after a few break ups my perspective on men changed drastically. Back then I was naive and dumb. I do take good care of myself and dress up nicely when I go out. And I don't lack getting attention from men but I'm not interested in "those" men. Am I too difficult? Are my expectations too high? Or have I build a brick wall around myself? I don't know maybe I'm too stubborn to admit it. But what I do know is never go searching for love. Love will find you! 

My love story has nothing to do with the outfit btw :P. Just wanted to get this off my chest. You guys are always so sweet and understanding and I really appreciate it!

TRENCH COAT H&M - TOP / SHORTS / BAG ZARA - SHOES FOREVER21

My style has drastically changed in these couple of years. I used to wear a lot of colors and when I say a lot of colors I mean walking skittles. Yes it was bad. My biggest fashion failure must have been that time when I wore a orange top with yellow pants and orange/brown boots. It looked awful! Don't get me wrong I love colors but an overdose can be really dangerous. Or better said plain ugly. That was about four years ago. Nowadays I wear a lot of black, white and nude mostly combined with one popping color. I don't know what I will think of my current style in four years from now. I'm sure it will change a little if not a lot but I'm looking forward to this evolution.

TOP / SHORTS ZARA - SHOES / NECKLACE FOREVER21 - BAG PERSUNMALL

Flowers are blooming, birds are twittering and love is in the air! It is spring ladies and gentlemen so that means change of moods and change of clothes. I like wearing shorts but spring is still kind of chilly here in The Netherlands so the best way to wear shorts is combined with panty hose. Actually we can't complain because these couple of days were really sunny and pleasantly warm for Dutch standards. Therefore I'm expecting a great spring with great outfits to come.

Here I am, in the train on my way to Beyonce's concert! I'm so exited because it's my first concert and hello it's Beyonce?! She's going to rock the stage for sure with her sexy performance. Talking about sexy I've always had a thing for lace and open backs. An open back can be so chic and sexy at the same time. And no I'm not wearing this dress to the concert. I'm saving it for another occasion.

So sorry I don't post that much. I'm recently playing this online card game called Heartstone and I have to confess that I'm officially addicted :P. I'm such a geek! My brother warned me before he introduced me to the game but of course I didn't listen.
